- Peel the ginger, stone the dates and add cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, salt and pepper and 100 ml of water in a powerful blender and mix
- Combine 250 ml of water and the spice mix in a small saucepan, bring to the boil and simmer for 1 minute over low heat. Then cool in a pot for 15 minutes and then allow to cool completely. Put the turmeric essence in a glass bottle. It is fine in the fridge for at least a week.
- For 1 serving you need 50ml turmeric essence. Shake the essence well and pour into a glass. Froth the oat or soy milk or bring to a boil and add to the turmeric essence. Garnish with cinnamon sugar.
