Children's Easter cookery class

We were lucky enough to invite the wonderful Katherine Frelon back for another cookery demo, but this time for a littler audience…

After the success of her cooking demonstrations for adults we thought it was time for the children to get in on the fun. Last Sunday, at the Bankside restaurant, there was an Easter themed children’s cooking class that saw little hands get creative and develop some food skills.

The demo was very hands-on, with the children being able to create their own Easter dishes, ask questions, sample the food and parents also learnt some well guarded tibits secrets. The first dish up was one of the tibits all time favourites, the Quinoa and Potato Burgers which the kids then build up with a homemade slaw, tomatoes and gherkins. Katherine moved onto the tibits signature Cheese Twizzler Straws afterwards and all of the children had a go at making the straws and little cheese rolls. The sweets were linked closely to the Easter theme; Rice Crispy Nests with Vegan Marshmallows & Jelly Eggs and Easter Bunny cookie decorating which saw our lovely mini guests showcase their creativity.

Kids left with a special goody bag full of their homemade treats, a cookie cutter, colouring pages and all of the recipes that had been learning so they could recreate them at home.
