Visited here yesterday - 19/06/18 - after seeing the reviews on line. Lunchtime and service was excellent, no queues and no fuss. Excellent variety of food choices and brilliant concept: grab a plate, take what you fancy from the buffet, have your plate weighed at the counter and pay for what you have chosen - simple and a great change from a standard menu. Tuesdays is vegan only which was heaven for myself, and equally yummy for my vegetarian boyfriend. Paid for seconds, and pudding (which wasn't just fruit or sorbet!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Thank you!
I’m not a vegan, but on long trips I try to eat some healthy food. Tidbits is a little hard to find, but worth the effort to get creative vegan food served buffet style. Lots of places to sit inside and outside.
Relaxed and healthy dining just a stroll away from the shops
In a secluded little courtyard just off Regent Street you'll find this fine restaurant. You can take whatever you want from a incredibly delicious buffet. There are options for everyone and the taste is delicious. Vegetarians can find what they need, outside dining in summer is lovely and the staff is more than helpful! Highly recommended!
Tibits is a vegetarian & vegan restaurant that exists in London, Zurich, Berne, Basel, Lucerne & Winterthur. We went to the one located on Seefeldstrasse, Zurich. The food is placed in a buffet style. There is a very large selection of dishes across different cuisines. After you pick what you want, you pay at the counter by weight. The food is fresh & amazingly good. It is quite a popular place. While vegans & vegetarians would love this place, meat eaters would have plenty to be happy about
This is incredibly delicious food for anyone, but thrilling for vegetarians who are not used to having lots of menu options. I appreciated that there was someone to greet me as soon as I came in the door to explain how the system worked. The cost of food is based on weight, so it is easy to try lots of different dishes. The only downside is that the cost can add up very quickly! The restaurant itself had great atmosphere with ample, comfortable seating.
It's impossible not to love Tibits. Luzern was the first branch I ever went to, and now I make it my business to seek them out in other places. Perfect for tourists or if you're pressed for time. The variety is incredible and I love the combination of local and traditional foods with some foods from around the world. You pay by weight so you could easily have something light, but every time I've piled my plate high because there's so many interesting things to try. The rösti is particularly delicious, and there's usually several different types of sausage or schnitzel.
Haven't had much experience with the desserts because I'm usually stuffed by that point.
I could happily eat there every day, and recommend it to anyone who thinks a life without eating animals is "restrictive"!
Our Meet the Team series continues with Saskia. 💚 "My tibits journey began through vegetarian and vegan food. I wanted to work for a company that does good and gives back. A company that fits my own moral compass. You are what you eat so make sure it’s good for you and good for the earth.
I can be very greedy with my time, I try to fill it with as much learning, experience and fun as possible."
Saskia's favourite dish? Dried Bean Salad.
Relaxed ambience with delicious selection of vegetarian food
This beautiful restaurant is housed a stroll away from bustling Regent Street, in a secluded little courtyard. On arrival we were given instructions, pick a table wherever you want to sit, grab a plate and help yourself to the food, the plate will be weighed and you pay before you are seated. It's definitely not your typical buffet, with a variety of vegetarian food however, there is few desserts to choose from for those with a sweet tooth. The decor is simple, clean, the staff are polite, the food is exquisite simple yet extremely tasty dishes. The food is labelled so even the fussiest eaters will be able to find something to munch on. I sampled a bit of everything and my food cost just over £10 accompanied with ginger lemonade which was refreshing (£2.50). I would recommend trying the restaurant for those who want to have an intimate meal with a good variety of vegetarian food. Unfortunately, my photos do not do the restaurant justice.
I came here as a solo diner as I was in London for business. The place has a relaxed café feel so I did not feel uncomfortable eating alone. The concept is simple. Grab a plate, load it up and pay at the tills and order a drink at the same time (the bar is well stocked). Then seat yourself wherever you like. I sat outside which was lovely. It's down a little side street (just off Regent street - follow google maps - easy to find) so not too much hustle and bustle but still enough people around to watch the world go by.
I am a vegetarian so love a good vegetarian restaurant. I think this was good. The food wasn't amazing in that I could have cooked to a similar quality at home, but it was all tasty and nutritious. The cold options (salads etc) outnumbered the hot options a little too much for my liking (but that is just personal preference).
Heddon Street, is just a little street with some such a wonderful selection of restaurants, it was difficult to choose but we decided to try this concept of having a buffet and only pay for the amount of food you eat, so chose your food, weight the plate and pay for it. Everything is fresh, healthy and delicious.

This eatery was a wonderful find for me as I'm both Vegan and gluten free (I have an allergy to wheat). As you can imagine finding restaurants/eateries that cater for both in Europe are few and far between. My other half is not Vegan or Vegetarian and enjoyed the meal we had here to. I loved, loved the food! The guy at the Information Centre recommended this place and he was spot on. Thank you so much.
