tibits has gained a two star 'Sustainability Champion Award' from the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) which rates restaurants according to how green and sustainable they are. The SRA's report praises tibits for encouraging "diners to enjoy sustainable vegetarian and vegan cuisine by quoting ‘Meat-Free Mondays’ and ‘Fish-Free Fridays’ and receiving a discount on these days." The report continues: "There many other commendable sustainability practices at tibits, such as sourcing organic milk, tofu, bread and UK craft beer, providing staff with extensive training opportunities, installing energyefficient sensors on lighting, and providing the restaurant as a free venue space to community organisations and local charities." A recent survey conducted by tibits polling 2,000 people found that the typical adult follows government guidelines and eats the recommended 35 portions of fruit and vegetables every single week. 72 per cent of those questioned confessed that they love their fruit and vegetable fix, with a third claiming they would rather have fruit and vegetables as part of their main meal, than meat or fish.

Today we launch our new ‘tibits to go’ range, designed to make it even easier and quicker for you to grab a delicious, healthy breakfast or lunch, when you are short of time during your busy, working day.

To enjoy our new ‘tibits to go’ range, simply head to the ‘tibits to go’ fridge inside the restaurant, pick up your favourites, pay and be out of the door in no time.

The range includes breakfast items, antipasti mixtures, salad combinations, fresh sandwiches, tempting desserts and cooling drinks.

You can still find all your favourites such as our signature dried bean salad, but we’ve also introduced great new lunchboxes such as our Ploughman’s Box and Falafel Box. Our sandwich range is being extended to include our own coronation vegetable sandwich and Portobello mushroom sandwich.

For tasty desserts, you will be able to choose from gooseberry fool, lemon posset, rice pudding, sticky toffee pudding and summer pudding. Add a chai frappe or ginger lemonade for a cool and refreshing way to finish it off.

29.04.11City Showcase returns to tibits on Saturday, 7th May

Since its launch in 2003 non profit company City Showcase has given new and emerging artists a platform to perform their skills to a wider London audience. The likes of Amy Winehouse, Keane, Lady Sovereign, Razorlight and Scouting for Girls all kicked off their career by taking the stage during City Showcase.
